To celebrate the 50th anniversary, Valentino was displaying beautiful clothes, dresses, bags and accessories in their Valentino 50th Anniversary Exhibition at Atrium of Hong Kong IFC mall. What a wonderful night and party with all fabulous Valentino clothing and celebrities such as Fan Bingbing and Hong Kong fashionista Wyman Wong. Valentino lovers and fashionista, how can we not love parties like this one!

When I was 12, the very first branded fashion item that I bought for myself was a Valentino shades. While every girls were  looking for something more catchy like the double C (Chanel) shades, I chose Valentino. Why? I simply like Valentino as it is subtle yet elegant, feminine, sometimes girly, Valentino marvelous designs are just making women look pretty and outshine!

I always felt that Valentino put his clients first; he seemed to intuitively understand how to make them look their best. His color palette was sure to make a woman look vibrant and alive: that sizzling Valentino red; pinks and corals; ice blue; black. There were dressmaker details- rosettes, pleats, lace and embroidery- that took a dress from being merely a dress to an exquisite piece of art. And never was the female figure obscured by extraneous bits and pieces. Over these few years, Valentino has introduced modern and chic in the designs to make each pieces of clothing more stylish and fashion avant-garde! Pink lace, leopard matched with leather and studs, a combination of soft and tough, rock chic and feminine, this is what modern woman wants to represent them and what Valentino reads about women.

Surely fashion lovers can’t resist Valentino, can’t you?
To me, one of my dream is wearing a Valentino red evening gown for my wedding night, but it seems I still have to work hard in order to make this dream come true… X

Besides the Gossip Girl sweetheart Blake Lively and Leighton Meester can be found on the front row of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2010, the real life version of Blair Wardolf  - New York socialite Olivia Palmero also hit the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. With her photogenic face and impressive fashion statement,  this young fashionable beauty won the spot lights and camera focus of the street fashion photo bloggers and photographers for the street fashion snaps.

I have to admit that I always adore Olivia Palmero’s impeccable fashion style and her aptitude in matching her accessory items and catering a style statement on every kind of outfit  - a clashing animal belt with purple printed dress from Elie Saab , the jeweled statement organza with the water print gown from Valentino Spring 2010 and the embellished silver floral clutch with the romanic and the sexy lace ruffled dress from Valentino Spring 2010!  Olivia never giving her idea in accessorize and matching, and I believe this time on Olivia Palmero the most significant and attractive thing that caught girls’ attention should be her handsome model boyfriend Johannes Huebl! Agree?

Sarah Jessica Parker was rocking 3 different style of glamours dresses on the red carpet of Sex and the City 2 Premiere in New York, London and Tokyo! As Sarah Jesscia Parker implies ”You can’t hang your hat on fashion forever” , I do agree with Parker that the success of SATC isn’t just about the clothes, but too bad that fashion on SJP in movie premiere is definitely a talking point for most of us before watching it in the cinema!

Back on Sarah Jessica parker’s fashion, actually those 3 outfits are fantastic. Among the threes,  the Alexander McQueen 200 Spring lace bustier gown  in London Premiere, and the Vivenne Westwood 2010 Fall floral dress In Tokyo Premiere are very Carrie-esqe especially with dramatic and daring style like voluminous skirt, carrie’s style hair bun, glaring hat and accessories!

I like SJP especially opted for the Alexander McQueen 200 Spring lace bustier gown and McQ laced pump in London Premiere to deliver her tribute to her designer friend. But I adore the Vivenne Westwood 2010 Fall floral dress with Alexander McQueen skull clasp clutch in Tokyo Premiere cos it the most Carrie-esqe!

Finally the premiere started and there is only few more days left before Sex and the City 2 on cinema! But more then that, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall bought us surprises in the Sex and the City 2 New York Premiere. With unexpected fashion choice from Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis, I see inconsistency but also uniqueness in the fashion style on the 4 leading ladies of STC.

With no dramatic fashion and  her beloved pink,  Sarah Jessica Parker opted for a sexy and brightful Valentino Spring 2010 yellow fluorescent asymmetrical chiffon gown. If you overview Sarah Jesscia Parker ‘s fashion notebook , then yellow is more like a stranger there, but I love SJP in this Valentino yellow fluorescent asymmetrical gown, as if Sarah Jesscia Parker almost brings summer and sunshine at the premiere night. The yellow and feathery waving chiffon give a youthful touch on Ms Parker!  Too bad that the pick of  the silver satin Ferragamo double platform pumps disappoints most of us cos we all expected something more , more shoes fashion on SPC with straps , lace and if possible,  more blings!

Perhaps picking up her co-star’s favorite “pink” turned Kristin Davis to be more stunning and competitive as the best dressed on the New York premiere night, as Kristin opted for a vintage couture – a silk chiffon pink gown from Jean Desses. Look how happyKristin was on the red carpet, and as sweet as her character Charlotte! Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis are radiant!

As for Kim Cattrall, her very classic Hollywood look delivered elegancy with her choice of  Naeem Khan golden gown with sunflower embroidery. She was also stunning on the red carpet but her style is not so “Samantha”, I expected something wild on her.

Cynthia Nixon is the less surprising one, and dressed very “Miranda” in Carolina Herrera strapless dress with silver crystal leaf embellishment on the bust. Cynthia is always less aggressive to be the outstanding fashion girl among the four ladies in STC, but she turns prettier and prettier , with her tasteful fashion style.

Grils from Sex And The City are back! Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall are on Marie Claire US June 2010 issue and those girls have their own cover like last time!

On the covers , Sarah Jessica Parker is in golden Balmain dress ( it’s dazzling and I love it! ), while Cynthia Nixon is in Christian Dior, Kim Cattrall is in Valentino and Kristin Davis is in Oscar de la Renta. Those clothing on the Sex and The City Girls look fabulous and I love them all !

I saw the Sarah Jessica Parker on Marie Claire 2010 June cover when I was doing my grocery shopping this sunday, I just “wowed”, grabed and bought the magazine for my sunday entertainment!

Like what Cynthia Nixon said “It’s been like a playland for the most beautiful clothes in the world.” in the Marie Claire interview, the girls are gonna show you stunning dresses and lovely heels, as well as sharing the filming stories and  their success of being the “icon” of the city girls.
