Recently I started a blog on elle.com.hk called “Life as an ELLE” girl talking about my work life in ELLE magazine Hong Kong.

As a fashion blogger, fashion is definitely one of the thing I talk about and my friends always ask me how to dress versatile and smart causal that you are even go for parties or dates after work ? My first tips to achieve such fashion versatility is accessories!

Let’s start with necklaces! A signature necklace can create a twist on your normal work outfits. I put on a star necklace from Topshop and match with a sliver skirt from Zara which stars prints and metallic  fashion items are the hot trend of 2011 Fall/ Winter fashion!  love this star necklace cos it looks like the Dolce & Gabbana star necklace of 2011 Fall/ Winter but in reasonable price and do strike the effect of sparking my work outfits!  One thing good about accessories is that if you think it is too much wearing it at work , then carry it in your bag and put it on after work for your party night and dinner dates!

Twinkle this Fall and Winter with the hottest fashion trend  of the season – Star prints!

For 2011-2012 Fall Winter Fashion, Dolce & Gabbana created a collection filled with star prints.  The star print was featured in luxurious dresses, tops and trousers.  Accessories were also seen with star shape.  They even took the print trend to a higher level by making a shoe collection featuring star prints.

I always like star prints so as a fashion lover, I am going to twinkle my outfits, shoes and accessories with star prints too! This time I added romance on my star prints outfit with white lace shorts, paired with electric blue heels and neon yellow belt, a simple and chic outfit which wear at my work in ELLE.

To kick away the Monday blue and open my arms to embrace the spring breeze, I opted for a little color splash on my Monday outfits to work. Yes I always like colors and this year 2011 spring and summer fashion trend is just right for colorful person like me, so while others in the office or on the street are still sticking on the dull winter color and all black outfits, why not be the one who plays color blocking and brings in the 2011 spring and summer fashion trend to the office?

The refuse to play safe fashionista Rihanna shows you how to dress in the combination of these 3 trendy 2010 spring fashion style!

First this hot-off-the runway fashion on Rihanna comes with the Alexander Wang striped cropped cotton T-shirt, which differed from all ordinary black and white striped tops, I like this Alexander Wang striped top so much as the light gray and red strips with perforate details brings out the urban chic style! Then goes with J Brand Houlihan skinny cargo pants, which is the popular and edgy Hollywood celebrities and stars must-have fashion items in their closets! Last, paired the stars’ favorite skinny cargo pants with Louboutin Leopard Pigalle 100 pumps and a chained necklace to finish the urban rock chic style. Lovely !

So who says it’s fashion crime to put all trendy stuff together, huh? Rihanna shows that you can! Though Lauren Conrad placed a temporary break on her clothing line Lauren Conrad collection due to economic recession, and shifted her focus on launching her new book “L.A. Candy” , but that doesn’t mean Lauren is taking a break to stay trendy and fashionable. This blonde and ambitious in fact actively appears on red carpets and recently she did a Harper’s Bazaar shoot in West Hollywood (June 12) dressed in Moschino Fall 2009 jacket with silver embroidery, matched with her sun-kissed summer tanned skin and her all time favorite Chanel chained bag. Lauren also tried something new to surprise us – a brunette bob wig to bring out a freshness style! She really looked like another person indeed !

Rewind back to a week ago, When Lauren showed up on the red carpet of MTV Movie Awards 2009, Lauren also opted for a Moschino dress with red velvet flower appliqués with ruffles at the bottom trim which is also from Moschino Fall 2009 collection.

Seems Lauren loves Moschino very much and from what I see recently about her fashion choice, it looks like Lauren Conrad is more for the elegant classy mature style which may help to project her new image as an author / writer other than reality sweetheart! Personally I am expecting some summer fashion on this LA candy, cos isn’t too early to show off your autumn fashion trend in such lovely sunny summer?
